Ambassador Mathias Meinrad Chikawe
Former senior public servant and diplomat providing strategic leadership and governance direction to Petrogas Field Services Limited.

The Chairman of Petrogas Field Services Limited is Ambassador Mathias Meinrad Chikawe, who retired honorably from the Tanzanian public service in 2019.
A decade ago, Petrogas transitioned out of a manufacturer’s representation business model into a customer-centric enterprise. As its Chairman, Chikawe is strategically repositioning Petrogas to become Tanzania’s leading local manufacturer and supplier of Oil & Gas products, services and engineered solutions.
These include precision machined components and assemblies such as connectors, fasteners, sealants, fittings, hoses, regulators, washers, accessories and vehicle conversion kits.
Engineered to reduce imports and deepen Tanzania’s Local Content, Petrogas’ industrial manufacturing output will serve Oil & Gas export markets throughout the East African Community and Southern African Development Community.
Operating at the helm of Petrogas, Chikawe is changing the company’s market position, brand image and target audience to better align with market trends, customer needs and the competitive landscape.
Chikawe is a former Member of Parliament, Minister of State in the President’s Office for Good Governance, Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, and Minister of Home Affairs.
Before retiring, Chikawe served as Ambassador of the United Republic of Tanzania in Tokyo, Japan, and was also accredited to the Republic of Korea and Australia.

Stephen Mosha is a dynamic and competent professional advocate with over 14 years of extensive experience within the legal services industry.
Mosha has successfully managed case preparations and court proceedings while using strong interpersonal communication and diplomacy to build key alliances and partnerships.
Having dealt with corporate and individual clients across diverse sectors, he adapts quickly to the changing demands of the legal field.
He is an Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania, Notary Public and Commissioner for Oaths, and a member of the Tanganyika Law Society.
Mosha brings legal expertise, problem-solving capability and leadership experience to the Petrogas Board.
Caroline Clara Mrema
Economist, planner and marketer with more than 20 years of experience across aviation, business development and entrepreneurship.

Caroline Clara Mrema is a seasoned economist, planner and marketer with over 20 years of experience working in the airline industry.
She is also a long-established entrepreneur in education, real estate, logistics, clearing and forwarding, transit cargo haulage and tourism.
Ms. Mrema has strong capabilities in opportunity identification, business risk assessment, business development and customer acquisition.
She is a former employee of Air Tanzania Corporation, where she rose from Corporate Planning Officer to Director of Corporate Planning.
She has served on several public and private Boards, including ATC and Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority.
Her academic background includes Economics, Transport Economics and Business Administration.
Eng. Amos Jackson Mwansumbule
Chemical and Process Engineer with more than 25 years of experience across Oil & Gas, logistics, regulation and operations.

Eng. Amos Jackson Mwansumbule has more than 25 years of experience working across the private and public sectors.
His competencies include general management, sales and marketing, operations management, strategy formulation and implementation, Oil & Gas engineering facilities design and project implementation.
He has worked in leadership positions with Royal Dutch Shell, Caltex/Chevron and Maersk Line.
He also worked with EWURA as Head of Commercial, responsible for petroleum products importation, pricing, stocks management, distribution, competition monitoring and levelling.
He is a member of the Tanzania Bureau of Standards committee responsible for LPG and Natural Gas Standards review and setting.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical & Process Engineering from the University of Dar es Salaam.

During a decade at Tanzania Breweries Limited, he held roles including District Manager, Commercial Manager and Finance & Planning Manager.
He also served as Managing Director of Tracell Company Limited and Director of Commercial & Strategy at SoMango Company Limited.
His consulting practice has supported clients across diverse sectors in organizational structures, strategic planning, internal controls, fleet management, financial management, profitability and investment planning.
He is a certified Chartered Accountant (ACCA) and holds an Executive MBA from ESAMI.

Shani Ridhuan Mringo
