Petrogas Skid Systems

True Plug and Play.

Process plants like yours are dynamic and complex. They grow organically over a period of time, changing with new regulatory requirements, competitive pressures, customer demands, and technological advancements. This all necessitates that flow processes continually be updated, replaced, or newly constructed.

But building new or updating your flow measurement processes does not have to be complicated. Not with Petrogas as your partner. As a turnkey skid provider, we offer a one-stop-shop to bring your skid to life. We custom-design and deliver engineered custody transfer solutions, integrating equipment, subsystems, and software based on the latest industry standards and practices from various manufacturers—all packaged to your needs.

With our modular process flow systems, your metering skids are engineered to order and ready to use. This “plug-and-play” module piece system will save you time and money, as they can be immediately deployed into your process flow.

Petrogas metering skid systems are designed and fabricated off-site in a modern, controlled environment, with exceptional quality control and a full testing process. We then deliver and install everything on a pre-scheduled timeframe. And our expedited installation process ensures that downtime is minimal.

Designed for Your Specific Needs

Many of our customers opt for detailed engineering and 3D modeling of the skidding process to ensure regulatory compliance and timely.

Types of Skid Systems

  • Coriolis Flowmeters

  • Ultrasonic Flowmeters

  • Differential Pressure Flowmeters

  • Turbine Flowmeters

  • Positive Displacement Flowmeters

  • CIP (Clean in Place) Skids for Sewage Treatment Plant, Water Treatment Plant

  • Fuel Skid Packages

  • Glycol Dehydration and Glycol Regeneration Packages

  • Compressor Packages

While single-skid units can contain complete process systems, several skid packages are integrated to create larger process systems or even entire portable plants. These are sometimes called a “system in a box.”

For example, a multi-skid process system can combine a raw materials skid, a utilities skid, and a processing unit that all work together. The entire package arrives at the processing facility, ready to be installed with minimal onsite construction required.

Benefits of Plug-And-Play Skids

Take advantage of offsite skid construction for compressed project timelines and higher quality fabrication:

  1. Minimal interruption to existing operations, modules are built offsite and installed within 3 to 7 days on average.

  2. Higher quality fabrication and elimination of weather delays as skids are constructed under ideal conditions inside a production plant. We don’t stop when it rains or snows.

  3. Superior quality and safety are better achieved in a controlled, production style environment where fabrication is completed by skilled craftsmen under ideal conditions.

  4. Lower fabrication costs are achieved using highly optimized, professionally staffed teams working in specific skid manufacturing facilities designed for process skid fabrication.

  5. Faster onsite startup is achieved because all skids can be fully FAT tested and checked-out before shipment. Ease-of-installation is further achieved with features like gathered process connections for a simple hookup, accessible design, and the ability to install all equipment in one or two skid units.

  6. Designed for optimized space use: Highly sophisticated CAD systems and software have revolutionized the way piping systems are designed. This ensures everything is perfect upon delivery.

  7. Accuracy and compliance with national and international codes and standards: Our engineers and vendors are familiar with and comply with international codes and standards such as ASME, ANSI, DIN, etc.

Bottom line: Skid systems are more cost-efficient and convenient for plant upgrades.

Design for Outside? No Problem!

Another large benefit of a skid system is that it is tailor-made for your available space. To give an example of flexibility, even if there is no space available inside your facility, the skid can be designed with enclosures and installed outside the plant. Enclosures range from simple roof covers to sealed, weatherproof covers with positive pressure.

Petrogas specializes in the design of skid modules with sophisticated 3D Modeling software. We ensure that the system is optimally designed to fit the required space and allow enough access for maintenance. We design the connections to allow for simple and easy plug and play into your plant process.

Our skid systems have high quality construction because they are factory-fabricated. Almost any control elements you require can be installed on a skid and transported to your in-plant control system—be it flow meters, temperature and pressure transmitters, CIP skids, and more. You can see exactly what you are getting, and mix and match different components that will meet your needs. We’ll adapt the skid system to you (and not the other way around).

Add up the higher efficiency and productivity of modular process systems, and you can see why the “stick-built” approach is quickly becoming outdated.
